Being tough on crime actually means making sure people have enough food, healthcare, transportation access, spaces to gather in community, belonging, etc. When those things happen, crime goes down. But that isn’t flashy or retributive enough to get headlines and votes.

So much violence and death. God have mercy on our country that worships and propagates it on every level. May we repent from our 2nd amendments, our hatred for the other, and all forms of injustice that lead to more violence. May we love our enemies, and pray for those who persecute us.

I hate endnotes.
What do you mean you are going to punish me for wanting to know your sources?? And by the time I get to the endnotes, I have to remember the endnote number and chapter I was reading in?
