I never met Melissa Hortman, but, each in our lane, worked on a bunch of the same issues. No one gets all the credit for legislation, but I think its important for people to understand how much good Speaker Hortman did/led/was a part of. That's something being an aging union guy equips you for 1/12

Democrats should get comfortable saying at every opportunity they can: Donald Trump, long time best friend of child sex trafficker Jeffrey Epstein, is implicated in Epsteins crimes & is using the presidency & his hold over the GOP to try and hide evidence of that.

A reminder of what the NYT actually finds to be a punishable offense bc they are not an org dedicated to upholding the tenets of democracy or journalistic ideals, they interest is in defending the status, positions, & reactionary goals of the already powerful.

Nuzzi's fawning coverage of the sociopathic conspiracy crank she was having an affair with aided his rise to political power, which he is using to perpetrate the worst intentional public health catastrophe of our unnecessarily shortened lifetimes, and THAT is the STORY.

We have to destroy every last remnant of symbolic decency in our proud Red States, and if the hunt for Pride streets ends up snagging Buddy Holly? Well, then Buddy Holly's got to go, for being too close to woke.

“It’s such a tasteful cross section and people like it. But what do you do?” City Council Member Christy Martinez-Garcia said of the crosswalk that depicts Holly's iconic glasses.

my takeaway from this letter is that glenn youngkin, rector sheridan and their flunkies on the board are deeply dishonest people who are engaged, with the trump administration, in a mob-style shakedown against the university of virginia
Former UVA president Jim Ryan, who resigned over the summer due to pressure from the Trump Administration, just shared this 12-page letter with the Faculty Senate, detailing his experience with the Board of Visitors and DOJ.

It's a surreal--and troubling--read.

Currently running my home office from a large portable battery.

When the sun is out I charge it from portable solar panels, and when it isn’t I charge it overnight from the mains on a cheaper renewable tariff.

It saves me a fortune!
