Work: Sustainability Exec, including climate education and engagement.

Hello! I have been an environmental advocate for decades, and have a few minor climate science qualifications.

I’m currently a sustainability executive for a financial institution, working on the company’s net zero transition plan and ESG ratings, plus climate science comms for our employees.
Billionaires have some ego on them, eh? They seem to think their hoard protects them from anything. They need to read their history books, such as on Cuba, and particularly the French Revolution.

In 2020 @wwf.panda.org identified the 100 global cities expected to suffer the greatest rise in water risk by 2050- home to at least 350 million people!

We've already seen several megacities just days away from running dry.

When your house floods/catches fire, or food starts getting too expensive or unavailable, or extreme heat events kill lived ones, remember it was avoidable, and the perpetrators are:

1. The fossil fuel industry
2. The fossil fuel industry
3. The fossil fuel industry
4. The fossil fuel industry

My poor addled brain - every time I see a headline about COP30 for a second I think it’s about C3PO from Star Wars, but the chances of that are approximately 3,720 to 1.

For anyone thinking of getting a plug-in hybrid over a pure battery electric vehicle as a compromise when reducing personal CO2 emissions, think again!

“Plug-in hybrids now emit five times, on average, what official tests claim”

Incidentally, you don’t need to buy the book. You can read it (legitimately) for free here:

Some light reading for this evening!

A tome of this kind is incredibly useful - one that gathers the evidence of every industry which obstructs action on the climate emergency.

The contents pages list the industries sending us all to a climate hell in a handcart to protect their wealth / power.

So we’ve just seen what might actually be considered the first Category 6 hurricane hit Jamaica.

Climate change:

It’s real.
It’s us.
It is already dangerous, lethal for many, and getting worse.

A short video of interviews of some members of the Global Sumud flotilla, abducted by Israeli forces in international waters, recently released.

In particular, they talk of how the IOF treated #GretaThunberg

Everyone should take two minutes to hear it.

Watching Kemi Bad Enoch getting schooled on why a particular fossil fuel is keeping UK electricity prices high never gets old.

I am reflecting on this image today, and the saying below, as I traverse social media.

“Arguing with idiots is like playing chess with a pigeon. No matter how good you are, the bird is going to shit on the board and strut around like it won anyway.”

Hi @npr.org! We worked late tonight putting together this handy pocket guide!

It doesn't address road design issues, but if we're going to educate road users, we should include drivers.

It's the size of a folded business card. Print it, fold it, put it in your wallet!

I never thought I’d see the day millionaire English Nationalists gain a foothold in Wales!

Welshfolk: go back to your history books! It was millionaire English Nationalists that stripped you of all assets, denied you your culture / language, and caused generational poverty that exists to this day!
