We've been pushing to get our library as a fun third space. We've started up board game programs, three new book clubs, some ugly art, and trying to be community friendly and a safe spot in a red county. We've been quite successful since going back to 5 days a week in April. <3
The only free third space that I can think of in my community is the library, and you can’t exactly have a boisterous gathering there…

I am turning into a old man shaking his fist at the clouds, but I am happy that, aside from, you know, FASCISM, the things I'm grumpy about are relatively inconsequential, like sub-standard bot AI in video games and "relic-ed" guitars and using the phrase "centered around" instead of "centered on"

The accelerationist belief that if things get bad enough, then things will start to get better is quite something to see in the wild. It’s wrong though. Historically, misery creates more misery and is visited on the most marginalized in ever intensifying cycles of horror.
