Abusers were often abused as children themselves. Not that this provides an excuse for the rampant pedophilia of the Prez and friends of Trump-stein but it would logically make sense that these men were themselves at one time victims of abuse. It takes work to break the cycle. These men don’t work.

Any song can be a protest song, as long as it does the actual political work of bringing people together in a shared commitment. You can make the Vengabus song a protest song if you want. Lyrics and vibe don't matter, it's the way the song/musical experience grounds solidarity that matters.
