big bill shakes is goated. sorry but i will never entertain the argument that he’s overrated. to write something like this and have it ring with such tremendous clarity four centuries later would be incredible if he pulled it off once but he did it dozens of times

We started rewatching Neon Genesis Evangelion last night (I've never actually seen the whole thing!) and damn, y'all, Cruel Angel's Thesis is such a weird tonal choice (upbeat swingy jazz! For the giant robots are your dead mother show!) but it still FUCKING SLAPS

We started rewatching Neon Genesis Evangelion last night (I've never actually seen the whole thing!) and damn, y'all, Cruel Angel's Thesis is such a weird tonal choice (upbeat swingy jazz! For the giant robots are your dead mother show!) but it still FUCKING SLAPS

I’m not going to repost the abomination that he’s made, but please know that Darren Aronofsky sucks shit and always has. May I suggest watching the sublime filmography of the late Satoshi Kon instead (the person he not so subtlety ripped off)? Can’t really go wrong with anything in his catalogue! 💜
