Something I learned as I became progressively more disabled is that the worse off you are, in any regard, the less likely people are to have compassion for you. Unhoused neighbors know this better than anybody. They deserve shelter and care. We all do.
man I’m sorry to be all corny here but when I see a “the city is beautiful! There’s more to it than homeless people!” I gotta say you know who’s also beautiful? People who have no place to live & are trying to get by in a system that has turned its back on them & if you don’t see that that’s on you

I can't stop thinking about what Bezos has done to the Washington Post. But I also don't know why I & anyone else is shocked. I went undercover in an Amazon 'fulfilment centre' in 2013 and saw first-hand exactly who Bezos is.

Note the figures for Denmark in particular. Until only a few years ago the most pro-American country in Western Europe; now the most hostile, by some distance.
Some really striking numbers in this new survey showing the flip in European public opinion about America.
But bear in mind this is only Western Europe. In Eastern Europe, it has been harder to take the blinders off peoples' eyes.

I think by now only the Norwegian Labour Party is opposing an independent investigation into Epstein.
