Not actually Batgirl.

If this account were a book, it would be a spicy, queer manifesto with a side of sarcastic footnotes and a oatmilk Earl Grey latte with lavender syrup.

🇺🇦President Zelenskyy: Ukraine will always have champions and Olympians. But above all, Ukraine’s greatest asset is Ukrainians – those who cherish the truth and the memory of the athletes ki//ed by Russia, athletes who will never compete again because of the Russian aggression.

Even in a red state, the Supreme Court recognized that a librarian has the right to sue for defamation or damage to their reputation. Thanks to Amanda Jones for her continued courage.
Great news for @librarianjones.com: “The appellate court said Jones has a right to argue that the comments ‘were knowingly false or made with reckless disregard of the truth, and caused Ms. Jones injury, including harm to her reputation, contempt, ridicule, anxiety, and emotional distress.’”

Heraskevych’s choice to forfeit the medal chance instead of give up the memorial helmet is the biggest story in Ukraine today. Everyone is heartbroken but there is a unanimous consensus that this was what had to happen rather than to give up.

Reuniting families kidnapped by I.C.E. is not cheap—which is part of their plan to keep people in cages.

Thanks

Don't forget: this Act would also force the trans community to choose between voting or changing their names back to their dead names.

It's cruel and designed to disenfranchise as many voters as possible. Those not impacted are: cis-het men (who can afford a passport).
Rep. Torres on the SAVE Act: 69 million women who follow the traditional practice of changing their name after marriage do not have a birth certificate that matches their legal name. Republicans know this and want to use that to block them from voting. This is voter suppression

Oh Dawson 💔 This hits hard for me because my brother died this day 7 years ago…also of cancer. My brother was 37, James was 48. Both gone too young.

This is extra painful because this is also the 7th anniversary of the day my brother died from aggressive cancer.

I fucking hate cancer

Tomorrow is the 7th anniversary of my brother’s passing. 9 days later is the 19th anniversary of my mom’s passing.

My brother gave up his career to take care of my mom when she was dying from cancer. He followed her almost exactly 12 years later, also dying of cancer.

Even weirder that the people so adamant against genocide in Gaza have said nothing about this.
That the illegal destruction of USAID will kill more than *20 million people* in the next five years, & has ALREADY KILLED 600,000 in just one year, is a world-historical crime that Americans aren't being told about in the terms & with the repetition necessary for them to believe it.

Tomorrow marks 7 years since my brother died, almost exactly 12 years after my mom passed from the same disease. He was her primary caregiver and they’re buried next to each other

He loved Mexican coke, the movie Coco, Mumford & Sons, The Killers, Green Day, and Irish folk.

Please remember him.
