It occurs to me that if “defending the 2nd amendment” is the only reason Republicans are turning on Noem/DHS/ICE, that suggests that the lesson many will take going forward is that the best way to AVOID getting shot will be…to carry a gun.

3) Democrats have ~no power right now. Imposing significant restrictions on ICE without shutting off funding to the IRS or BLS etc is the equivalent of equalizing after having two players sent off with reds. It would be huge. Nothing about messaging for this fight ties anyone to future policy.

It’s because as California AG she shut down Backpage, a website sex workers used. It apparently was very effective for their needs as professionals.
