The Hillsborough Law has been formally introduced to Parliament. Although this hasn't happened as soon as previously promised, we are now rating Labour's related manifesto pledge as “appears on track”.

The children have spoken.
England's children are telling the world what happened to them. It’s time England's lawmakers started listening and acting. #AgainstRestraint

NEW: The Trump administration deported a 2-year-old U.S. citizen on Friday.

Hours later, a conservative judge who tried to intervene warned of his "strong suspicion" that the administration "just deported a U.S. citizen with no meaningful process."

So unnecessary, so, so sad 😢

Nationalise care under new guidelines. We don’t need private equity anywhere near children’s homes.

Just need decent buildings and decently paid and trained care workers.

Thriving kids n good local homes would attract significant charitable benefit too.
At-risk young people are having their freedom taken away with court orders because of a shortage of suitable accommodation for them, Ofsted and children's charities have warned.

The use of court orders to hold children securely has risen ten-fold since 2017.
