This reminds me very much of a friend who’s eldest thrived in my own child’s year group at their school, never had a bad word to say about it .. but then her pulled youngest out before the end of year six.

For change to be effective, I think the contradictions need to be addressed more transparently.
Genuine concern re the potential for things to get worse before they get better whilst so many of those referrals under S17 concern school absences .. and better could be a while off yet.

There are system wide flaws and failures at institution and individual level aren’t there.
But there is no justifiable reason for this .. this has to stop, from today.
