Genuinely and from the heart, how is it possible to live in the US (which, btw, does not have an official language) and not understand even a few words of Spanish?

“Collection of Handwritten Letters from Children in Detention Center” sounds like an exhibit in the Holocaust Museum.
1/ ProPublica collected handwritten letters in mid-January from children held at the Dilley Immigration Processing Center, the same facility where 5-year-old Liam Conejo Ramos was taken.

Hundreds of kids are still detained.

We’ll let the children’s words speak for themselves. 🧵

It is not our moral responsibility to coddle the delusional fears and bigotries of white supremacists. It is not our moral responsibility to change reality for them so they can hold onto those fears and bigotries.

It is our moral responsibility to make their fears and bigotries THEIR problem.

Do you ever feel like you missed your calling, and were meant to be touring the countryside in a motorcycle & sidecar with your well dressed badger best friend, solving minor mysteries and enjoying tea & adventure?

Federal judge: "The presumption of regularity that has previously extended to [the United States Government] that it could be taken at its word—with little doubt about its intentions and stated purposes—no longer holds."

This is in a case where the Trump admin sued Oregon.

That's remarkable stuff. And really illustrates why the Millers of the world want there to be as little process as possible. Because process will stop their goals.
Read this whole astonishing document. it should be taught as an object lesson in what volunteering to assist a fascist government does to your mind, body, and soul.

Specifically, this is for your street clothing that has been exposed to tear gas in smoke/aerosol/dust/particulate form.

"A surging torrent of snot" is what I will be calling the would-be action hero poasters and dumpster fire apologists from now on.
I can’t emphasize this enough: Leave it where it falls. Get out of there. You can’t help anyone with burning eyes and a surging torrent of snot. Which is what you will have.
Most gloves are nowhere near good enough for the temperatures of tear gas grenades.
