This “discourse” is functionally equivalent to child pornographers saying “how dare you luddites oppose cameras!”

We don’t oppose cameras - we oppose them being used by child pornographers!

That Starmer is visibly getting nothing out of his supposed strategy to bear hug Trump - the last fig leaf that it was achieving anything was Ukraine & things gave now changed there - will magnify the discomfort of liberal & left voters with the mismatch in values.
Nah you know what, all credit to the First Minister for this. Speaks volumes that I cannot imagine any viable candidate for No.10 doing this, incumbent PM included.
It’s not where we come from that counts, it’s about where we’re going.

Great to meet Afghan Scots children at Maryhill Burgh Halls and hear a lovely rendition of Robert Burns.

Shouldn’t it be art history highers

Art history A-level is extinct in Scotland and Wales and nearly extinct in England. The UK has the third-biggest art market in the world ($11bn-ish), if you need a business case to prove its value.

This kind of opinion, that people on benefits are very lazy & undeserving & this can only be solved by hitting them hard - alongside the belief that people who work in the public sector are lazy too - are basically mandatory in the C suite & disagreeing with them gets you labelled a “Marxist”

I am genuine amazed that one of the most common responses to @stephenkb.bsky.social ‘s newsletter on the minimum wage BTL is to say that he’s wrong and the real issue is that there are too many businesses which don’t deserve to be solvent if they can’t pay a living wage
