One of the things about this study is that a lot of baby and toddler books are written in house, by editors. So the study reveals the whiteness of editorial in kidlit even if not explicitly. But, big picture, this trend is unacceptable. I remember so many promises www.theguardian.com/books/2025/o...

Real good news/bad news thing for Starmer.

Good news: he got people to sign up for signing at a similar pace to Your Party's mailing list.

Bad news: It's opposition to his ID cards idea.

Cis 'allies' be like: Why are trans people weird about the UK's ID proposals?

Us: They will force out us

'Allies': I'm sure that won't happen

Us: They have literally involved transphobe groups in the design stage. It will happen from day 1.

'Allies': You're just hysterical. Won't happen.

Hi LGBT+ Labour, thanks for the email about all your fabulous conference events, but my copy seems to be missing the meeting about tackling the overwhelming wave of transphobia that has engulfed Labour policy in the last two years and has left trans people across the UK living in fear. Typo?

Even the BBC is now splashing on the UN commission of inquiry concluding that Israel has committed genocide.

You backed a genocide.

You will never scrub the shame away.

The Prime Minister can call me names - “plastic progressive”? (Nope, me neither!)

Meanwhile, I’m travelling across England and Wales, meeting people fired up and ready for change.

We’re going to turn this country around – and no one gets left behind.
