You can't individually turn off access: it would need your senders and recipients, and theirs, to across the entire network of correspondence for this privacy.

This exemplifies why the solutions to misuse of tech are collective, your power as an individual is very limited.
Google defaulting all Gmail users to a setting that enables Google to harvest all your emails into chatbot training is straight-up evil and invasive.

My #Egyptology friends here may recognise this fabulous small limestone ostracon, from Campbell Price's social media accounts.

The artwork depicts a funeral, and it's the subject of my next Artefacts in Focus article, dropping tomorrow morning at tetisheri.substack.com

I may be biased, but @theees.bsky.social's new podcast is ace! The most recent episode is with the awesome Dr Campbell Price on statuary and the purpose behind sculpted images of the royal family.

Accessibility at the GEM:

This photo includes people with wheelchairs. People have asked how the museum deals with accessibility. I have included a link to an Egypt Today article on how accessibility has been taken into account in delivering visitor experiences.

The look of awe on my girls' faces a few weeks back when I showed them my collection of floppy discs from 20+ years ago and said, 'Look, it's the save icon!' 💾😂
It's World Digital Preservation Day.

Don't worry folks - we've got this digital preservation thing completely under control. 👍

I'm excited to try the new Affinity Studio app today (pixel, vector and layout all in one, super customisable app that's completely free to download).

This was one of my favourite pages to set – it took longer than any other page in the book (each scarab is a separate photo, so it's 24 separate images to size properly and line up), but great fun to put together 😁
HUGE shout outs are in order for @tetisheriphoto.bsky.social and @aakheperure.bsky.social, whose typesetting and illustrations have made this book so gorgeous!
