Last year I covered “Santa and the Three Bears,” a 1970 Christmas special with a crazy history involving, of all things, a marine park in Florida.
But it started as a passion project by former Hanna-Barbera animator Tony Benedict, who died this weekend.

Last year I covered “Santa and the Three Bears,” a 1970 Christmas special with a crazy history involving, of all things, a marine park in Florida.

I absorbed my twin in utero, my growing bulk pressing its husk flat against the uterine walls, and when I was born at 10.6 pounds with an APGAR score of 99, my twin detached itself and fluttered unseen to the delivery room floor, like the last leaf of fall.
