This was a topic discussed in my group this week. anyone who might have a decent answer for this and or how to show an official transcript when they have not completed a semester yet ... we are all ears on suggestions...
Any advice on what first year grad students should enter for their GPA as they do not yet have grades? 0.0? (NA is not accepted by system)

Yes! Thanks a lot for acknowledging q.e.d! Some people alreday cited the platform on their papers like this: "Pre-submission review was conducted using qedscience.com" (but you can play with it if you wish)
Maybe it will be helpful to have information on how to cite it?

I imagine it can be part of a standard workflow and a disclosure of its use could be a standard practice, increasing transparency…

NIH cuts save $9-10B short-term, but they’re killing 202K jobs & $46B in red-state economies (TX, FL, OH). $8T healthcare disaster loom, no cancer/Alzheimer’s cures, pricier drugs. Scientists fleeing to China? Bad deal. Fight for NIH!

The NSF posted an announcement on Sept 8th with “full solicitation coming” and no indication of the changes- consistent with a chaotic process occurring to make these decisions. At least they delayed the deadlines and have now provided reference letter deadline (earlier than application deadline).
September 27, 2025 at 3:27 PM
Awesome to see they will award up to 3000 fellowships! Hope NSF posts full announcement- including recommendation deadline- soon! Last year recs were due before GFRP deadline so students should be requesting them now.
NSF GRFP announcement was posted! Have not read the details to see if any changes from previous years...

House subcommittee version just came out (link below). Holds NIH flat at $48 billion.

To be clear: this is far from over. But a good sign that science still matters across both sides of aisle.
