I think that Swift is an awesome language for functional programming! Many (functional) programmers don’t seem to know this. Hence, I gave talk about “Functional Programming in Swift” at @bobkonf.bsky.social — it is now online: media.ccc.de/v/bob11-2024...

How to: Get to Know iPhone Privacy and Security Settings
Open up your iPhone’s Settings app and you’ll find dozens of different options with little guidance on what those options do. Some of these settings have a serious impact on your privacy and security, altering what data gets shared automatically with apps, data brokers, and Apple itself. What sorts of...

Did you know? 🤔

In Tower for Mac, you can press CMD+SHIFT+C to activate the commit dialog.

This keyboard combination works from all views, so you can quickly add a commit from anywhere.

"I can't believe a third-party did it better than Bsky" is the wrong take bc that's the whole point of Bsky and ATProto.

More of this. Build better than what's been built.
the success of the user-created For You feed while the official Discover feed flops is actually a pretty major win for Bluesky — it literally is the embodiment of their goal to decentralize feed generation and give users more control/autonomy

Fuck you people. Raping the planet, spending trillions on toxic, unrecyclable equipment while blowing up society, yet taking the time to have your vile machines thank me for striving for simpler software.

Just fuck you. Fuck you all.

I can't remember the last time I was this angry.

Did you know that in the 1970s a number of European cancer researchers and lung specialists were barred from entering the US due to their work on carcinogenic effects of tobacco?
You didn't know? Well, that's because it's made-up BS. Even Big Tobacco wasn't as bad as the current US gov & Big Tech.

The Visual Studio Code extension for Swift is now available on Open VSX Registry

You can now install it as easily as other extensions from code-oss-based IDE, such as Kiro, Windsurf, Cursor etc.

Happy coding !

Helemaal eens!

We could make our own bsky client that does this by default? Maybe?
