Friends, I have an incredible update. I met a friend from Jersey the other day who was visiting and she almost got fined on the Luas with no ticket because *drumroll please* she thought it was free!

I had to explain to her why I was absolutely dying when she told me this.

just incredibly thrilled to announce that after months and months of uncertainty over the future of the game, and several I have bought Zombies, Run!, the game I co-created and have been making for the past 12 years:

I quite literally will never understand this take. I know that we always need *some* rental property available but the vast majority of people in Ireland want to own and we can't because of *drumroll please* landlords buying multiple properties to rent. Them leaving the market is what we want.

As stated many, many times, she has no interest in doing the work.
Now let us consign her to the dustbin of wannabe, pick-me history and concentrate on those who are actively trying to grow the far right in Ireland, and the sheep passively helping them.

The #ticketswap site claims to let you buy genuinely spare tickets fairly, no touts, no more than 20% over face value. The one time I've looked for gig tickets, it's well more than 70% markup and the sellers have sold hundreds... 🤔

I'm looking for an ecommerce platform. I have two requirements.

1 - it should integrate with Printify.

2 - it should not have a monthly subscription, and should be able to take the platform fees direct from the purchase.

If you know of one, shout, and please repost this so I get wider reach. :)

“It’s impossible to reboot Bond” says production team who decided Bond first got his licence to kill in the 21st Century, as Daniel Craig, then got incredibly old within two films and was being put out to pasture, but also had Sean Connery’s 1960s car.

It’s Bond. Just do whatever the fuck you like.

I've just bought not one but two separate editions of an RPG, with its sourcebooks, on #BundleOfHolding - to add to the *nine* other RPGs I've bought on there since 2021.

Hey, I actually ran two sessions of one of them! (You can't actually run a #Paranoia campaign - it is known!)

Sorry, but Enoch Burke is an unwitting and unwilling comedy gift.

You can’t tweet breaking news about yourself and report you are excellent as part of it. It’s gold!
Have just seen Enoch Burke’s latest self-pitying, lying video. His behaviour towards two extremely civil & professional security guards at the school was obnoxious. The man is a bully. A self-righteous, bigoted, bully. Pathetic!
(Not linking to the vid).

75%?!? Ah here.
This is hoarding in a supply emergency.
79% of homes sold in Dublin this year were bought by landlords, 75% by large landlords. About 1 in 5 TDs are landlords.

This is disgusting dog whistling. The problem has never been people seeking asylum. The problem is people seeking to endlessly profit from folks just looking for a home.
🗣️ "The one thing that there is a problem with is housing right across the state, and the more that come to seek asylum, the more pressure it puts on that system.” - Fianna Fáil Minister of State Timmy Dooley

For additional context
1) Over €100m of overpayments *was* recovered
2) 75% of the unrecoverable payments were to people who are now dead
3) the vast, vast majority of such payments are down to errors by the Dept, not fraud by the dead.
€15 million in unrecovered welfare payments. Wow, that really sounds like a LOT!

But. Take the total spent on social welfare to be roughly €25 billion annually - it's a bit higher.

That's 0.06% unrecovered. Or about 6c in every €1000. Or to put it another way, negligible.

If a PBP TD said that there were too many foxhunters in Ireland and then there was a arson attack on a hunting lodge that night, you can be damn sure that Simon Harris could join the dots.

He really should resign.

It's all just so frustrating and predictable, isn't it? For years people have been warning of the far right rising in Ireland and we've been laughed at and dismissed by the media and the government. In turn, the govt. have not acted, have treated right wing agitators with kid gloves.

It would be nice if this weren’t true but when it comes to politics reality tends to muscle in, and you usually have to accept less than perfect* or check out altogether, which helps no one

*red lines not withstanding though
I've been the smug, insufferable leftist who expects moral purity from my candidates. I still am at heart. But I've come to realise that purity is privilege. It doesn't exist, so waiting for it justifies inaction. The people I meet will benefit from "good enough" long before "perfect" arrives
