#Toronto harbour froze after weeks of negative temps, I decided to do a photo day on the islands in February. A snowstorm started and the cityscape disappeared, but as I ventured out onto the ice, it revealed itself.

This one is special for me, it was one of the first Digital Infrared images I took, way back in 2001 using a 2-megapixel Nikon Coolpix digicam, that set off a love of seeing into the surreal world beyond sight.

I love seeing these experiments from the days long before Photoshop existed. You had to do it optically in real time during the exposure and it was always hit and miss.

I walked through this parking lot on the way to Left Field brewpub last week and was thinking there has to be a better use for this land. Maybe by next playoff season I'll be cutting through, and lingering in, a park.
