I wonder how many people will never hear from their loved ones again because of this shit. A real life horror show.
Another Africa ICE removal underway, via a private jet operated by Journey Aviation. Like Journey’s ICE trip to Liberia last week, this is likely a third-country removal.

In the six weeks the South Sudan 7 were stuck in Djibouti, this aircraft was used to swap out ICE guards every few weeks.

BBC chair Samir Shah sent a personal letter to Trump saying "he and the Corporation are sorry for the edit of the President’s speech," adding that Panorama won't air again on the BBC.

Shah added that while he "sincerely regrets" the edits, he doesn't think there's a "basis for a defamation claim."

“Every single person in the Epstein emails should be removed and excluded from positions of any power forever” would be a good op-ed, but probably won’t appear in the NYT. Even more importantly, it would be a good political party platform, but that probably won’t happen either

NEW: @propublica.org investigated the Chicago apartment raid where kids were zip-tied and citizens detained for hours. They find:

- NONE of the arrested were criminally charged
- NO evidence the building was "filled with TdA terrorists."
- ZERO legitimate reason for DHS to rappel from a Blackhawk.

“By cutting aid for permanent housing by 2/3 next year, the plan risks a sudden end of support… beginning as soon as January. All are disabled — a condition of the aid — and many are 50 or older. The document does not explain how they would find housing.”
This is far worse than anyone expected.

Trump's HUD plan would cut *two-thirds* of permanent housing and push as many as 170,000 formerly homeless people back onto the street—redirecting funds to work mandates, forced treatment, and encampment sweeps.

All as mass internment camps are being built.

Today is a good day to remember, and to say, that the #MeToo movement was right, and was righteous, and has been vindicated over and over again. There was no overreach. There was no excess. There was no they-went-too-far.

So much work remains to be done.

Catalina “Xóchitl” Santiago spent nearly two months in ICE detention—despite having protection under DACA—until a federal judge ruled that the government had no reason to keep her in custody and ordered her release.

DHS is still vowing to "explore every available option to remove" her. My latest:

Colombia to suspend intelligence cooperation with U.S. over strikes on drug vessels

I wonder if the United States can learn anything from the last time a major industrialized country decided to isolate itself from the rest of the world?

Almost a decade after the Brexit vote, GDP in the UK is around 6-8% lower relative to peer countries. (Source: www.nber.org/papers/w34459)
