TIL about a memorial ceremony in Iceland in 2019 to mark the end of a glacier, changing the place name from Okjökull to Ok (jökull = glacier). Uncompromising wording on the bronze plaque:
"This is to acknowledge that we know what is happening and what needs to be done. Only you know if we did it".

I cannot figure out how to steer the car in a sane way in Cyberpunk 2077. It feels like any tiny movement I do and the car just fishtails. Really maddening when they want me to do a car race side quest.

I’ve been playing Cyberpunk 2077 again the last couple of weeks, and now I’ve realized I’m at the end of the main story, so I’m just doing all of the side quests so it doesn’t end.
I still haven’t done Phantom Liberty, so I guess there’s no reason to fear the end, since I have a whole DLC.

I once asked a bookseller at a large indie store how many people would have to buy a book for it to get the attention of the store buyer and cause an additional order and they said: Three.
I see some book piracy discourse, and, to make a positive argument in favor of buying books, your marginal ability to influence what books get published and support the careers of writers you like is massive compared to most other forms of media.
