If anything good comes out of all this forcing ai down our throats from every direction it may be that I’ll end up creating more physical art since I’ll have cancelled all my streaming services (except for dropout) and will have time to spend on creative pursuits instead of TV or video games

When someone says "artists are gatekeeping!", what they really mean is "I want to be seen as skilled like them without actually putting in any effort because it's 2025 and I still believe that art is a talent you're born with rather than a skill you have to build up over years"
I don't believe it when anyone tries to say artists are gatekeeping creativity because every artist I know is so generous. Lots of us sharing tutorials, free brushes and assets, share our manus, etc! There's no shortage of info or free tools out there if you're willing to look and learn.
