Going into next week unexpectedly thousands of dollars poorer than we ended last week (our well pump died -- please clap for the awesome plumber who fixed it in the middle of the night in the snow and who will be well compensated) so I should mention that I have books, should books be your thing

I had no idea what I was capable of until I became a caregiver for someone with memory issues who doesn't live near me and suddenly couldn't go home.
In three weeks I have gone from handholding in emerg to setting up their room in assisted living.
I am a boss.
An exhausted boss, but still.
