Governments can and should buy and build public homes. Enough for all who want to live in one. It benefits the people who get to live in them AND stabilises the private rental market, in turn stabilising house prices.

Burgess’ speeches contain enough to cause a twinge of unease about the degree of confidence the government and citizens can have in the intelligence and information ASIO is providing. Thus, ministers should closely interrogate all advice from ASIO, and its reliability. #auspol #burgess #ASIO
ASIO's Mike Burgess and a lust for the limelight
In succumbing to a lust for the limelight, the ASIO director, Mike Burgess, is not making it easier for the government and citizens to retain confidence in him and the organisation he’s trying to run.

This is a good lesson for Australia. If you can't do anything in a 3 year term, you can't do it in 4, or apparently 5. The problem is not the term length, the problem is the culture and incompetence of the politics of the people who rise to the top in our parties.

Very (un)fun fact: 👇

As epically stoopid as this is from the Liberals, the underlying consequence for all of us is now LAbOr will do even less as well. Because why do they need to without ANY real pressure?

LaBOr was already doing fuck all. It's only going to get worse now

I fucking hate this
"The Liberal Party’s decided to abandon Australia’s net-zero by 2050 target" - They are really much more stoooooooopid than they look.
Surely they cannot be serious. THEY just CANTs. THEY simply CANTs. THEY always CANTs. THEY all CANTs. THEY biggest CANTs.

Australia’s aged care shame / sham. You get to your final years after having paid your dues, paid you taxes, only to then be discarded like a pair of old boots.

If only we’d tax billionaires, corporations and mining industry accordingly, we’d have the revenue to support our aged community.
“This is what happens when you sell aged care off to corporations to make a profit.”

If you’re from Australia, you got your own version of AIPAC called AIJAC

The UK also has the Zionist Federation of Great Britain and Ireland (ZF)

They all should be disbanded for treason, not only AIPAC, but ALL of them
Trump got +$500,000,000 from AIPAC, and that’s why he’s allowing Israel to break ceasefire after ceasefire

In-fact, AIPAC have "lobbied" (bribed) at least 95% of the US parliament, and their influence stretches to social media platforms as well

Thanks to the Job Ready Graduates scheme, an arts degree today will cost over $50,000. How have five decades of government policy taken us from free education to this?
