Heard on a podcast today something that really put in perspective. The cruelty from ICE isn't a byproduct, it's a mandate. They've been told to make it as miserable as possible for immigrants broadly so as many as possible will choose to leave the country on their own, legal status or not.
As if Ukrainian refugees haven’t endured enough suffering, now they must face this as legal immigrants in the US.
