I did not expect to see someone attempting to justify witnessing and not reporting the sexual abuse of minors today.
Failure to report crimes against vulnerable people is a crime if you work with vulnerable people, like being a teacher, social worker, or minister.
Otherwise, it’s being an individual, minding your own business, not snitching, not talking to feds, not having proof, or letting sleeping dogs lie.

the question to ask about this is, okay, he wants to cancel the midterms. how does he get the VA state board of elections to cancel the midterms? how does he get the georgia board of elections to do it? how does he convince republican house members to quit their jobs and give up their paychecks?
Trump says a lot of deranged shit, but, per this Reuters article — and the threats of invoking the Insurrection Act in Minnesota this morning — he is very clearly exploring how to cancel the midterms.

If there is a practical or procedural difference between a state prosecuting an individual or a state prosecuting an individual who happens to have a badge, we already live in an oppressive police state and hence outrage is doubly justified.
If we assume there is no practical or procedural difference between a state prosecuting you and a state prosecuting a federal LEO for something he did at work this is a compelling point

I'm stunned how purported Democrats are so eager to get behind a terrible, uninspiring candidate who has repeatedly shown right-wing tendencies, 3 years before election season.

I’m stunned how the transgender community is so myopic in the distaste of Newsom… particularly in comparison to Trump/MAGA. I’m used to watching MAGA voters vote against their own interests… but the Newsom Derangement Syndrome on the part of the transgender respondents is saddening.
