Before anyone asks: no, it's not fair that Labour won a landslide in 2024 on 34% of the vote.

That's evidence of a system that's badly malfunctioning & a reason to act before things get worse.

It's not an argument for keeping an injustice in place till everyone's had the chance of a crazy outcome.

Anyone who missed their childhood vaccination (probably in their 40s to 50s) can get MMR on the NHS for free and it seems an increasingly a good idea to do so as incidence rises. You really really don't want to get measles as an adult.

Two immigrants top relevant Sunday Times list for most UK tax paid, as "patriot" multi-billionaire Ratcliffe lives as an immigrant in Monaco, to protect wealth so vast it is unspendable, while whining about immigrant UK care workers and NHS cleaners not pulling their weight.

FUCK RIGHT OFF, "SIR".
Erling Haaland and Mohamed Salah among Britain's biggest taxpayers on Sunday Times list
Erling Haaland was Britain's highest taxed footballer last year, paying nearly £17 million to the Treasury.

Hello sinusitis my old friend, you've come to torture me again.

Grateful for this weapons grade gear I picked up in France last summer. They know their shit when it comes to pharmaceuticals.

Football is a winter sport, so it should be in the Winter Olympics, not the Summer ones. And why don't they call the figure skating Icecrobatics. #TheOlympics

Delighted for the Swedes, lovely to see the whooping, caps-on-backwards Yank blowhards in the crowd sit down and shut up (well done to their players though, congrats to them on the silver). #TheCurling

I switch on an iPlayer stream promising live coverage of #TheCurling final, and am treated to 10 minutes of Clare Balding waffling whilst the match is unfolding, unbroadcast. Ridiculous nonsense, there's live action on yet we must watch BBC presenters instead. PUT THE FUCKING SPORT ON FFS.

The sad sight of an abandoned baguette at Lyon railway station. Never to meet his filling or spread, whether sweet, savoury or simply beurre.

I see the UK is yet again at the "be very careful what you wish for" stage, ready to leap out of the frying pan into the warm embrace of the fire again.

So £80bn and 122 years in reality. Can we not just build a new one in Birmingham or Leeds and turn it into a museum with some hotel rooms.

It's almost as if the second chamber of a democratic country's Parliament should be at least mostly elected in order to have a proper mechanism for removing undesirable members.
