The use of the Notwithstanding Clause is out of control. It’s up to voters to stop it
The architects of Canada's Charter of Rights and Freedoms thought the Notwithstanding Clause would only be used in exceptional circumstances. Conservative premiers seem determined to prove them wrong.

Fun (terrifying) fact: Moose are so gigantic, they don’t have any predators…except for orcas. In winter/scare months, moose will dive for vegetation and orcas will eat them!

this week during prime day sales take a moment and think about what you need, how quickly you need it, and where you might be able to get it in your community! It’s surprisingly easy to boycott the crummiest company on earth and there’s no shortage of great reasons to try start trying

In univeristy we learned how famines are always a political process. While we are made to think of natural disasters, there is always food but the problem is who chooses how it is distributed and who is deserving.

The same can be said for homelessness and poverty.
Sadly the current right-wing coalition government in Finland has cut the funding for the nation’s “Housing First” success story, & homelessness is now on the rise again. That just reinforces the fact that such programs work, if political ideology doesn’t stand in the way.

This is an amazing venue. Can’t say I’ve heard or seen any ghosts this weekend at the OSAC Showcase. Just enjoying lots of amazing music.
In Regina, Darke Hall is a prestigious performance hall that is home to the Regina Symphony Orchestra. It has seen several great artists perform there. The person for whom the building is named seems to want to stay there even after death.
This is the story.
