40 years old now. "Corporate rock" conceptual art (ripped off from Flipper) w/ drums mixed so loud they could shake a filling loose. Lydon as paranoid CEO; Ginger Baker, Bill Laswell, Tony Williams, Ryuichi Sakomoto, Steve Vai, Bernie Worrell as contractors. Should be titled "Stream" today

Wake up. Make breakfast. Do email. Watch a murder. Go to a party for a 5 year old. Laugh with my daughter. See a different angle of that murder. Hear govt officials slander the victim. Play Barbies with my kid. Feed her dinner. Tear up at that victim reading last honors to a vet. Put kid to bed. USA

The first $10/month subscription print of the new year is a 1996 photograph of @planetmidori.bsky.social. It’s from the same session that produced our now-iconic gargoyle image. The second print features artist Anna Noelle who was also in the shoot. But why are there TWO prints shown? See below👇

I took this 2004 photograph of Courtney in an industrial area of Los Angeles. Although other shots featured the industrial environment more, this one was the one that had the most emotional impact for me, and that’s what’s important in a photograph to me. Shot with my Mamiya 645 with natural light.

My 1998 portrait of French/Swiss actress Irène Jacob on the set of "The Big Brass Ring" which was directed by George Hickenlooper from an Orson Welles and Oja Kodar script. It was a treat getting to photograph Irène because I was a big fan of her work in Krzysztof Kieślowski's "Three Colours: Red".

I shot these images of Bernie Dexter in 2003 just north of San Diego. I believe this was around the time she first started taking modeling seriously. I'm glad Bernie has come a long way since those early days. Shot with my Mamiya 645 with existing light.

Wire rewatch just got up to s2's Johnny Cash montage, where the show had put in so much effort to make the audience understand how the detail worked that it could hit fast-forward on the case like this, trusting we'd be able to follow: www.youtube.com/watch?v=NjLt...

I watched a fair amount of television this past year. Not sure if it was simply for escapism or just because there was so much damn good stuff on, but I was impressed enough to compile a list in case you're looking for something new. (Reposted cuz I forgot to add alt-text).

The cultural impact of Rob Reiner cannot be understated. Legend isn't big enough a word. It goes to 11. You can't handle the truth. As you wish. I'll have what she's having. I'm your number one fan. You guys wanna see a dead body? The very idea of a bucket list. The West Wing.

All from his movies.

This was from my first shoot with Jillian Ann back in 1999. Unfortunately she was another friend and model who left our world far too early and is missed by many. We shot this in the small parking lot behind my old Hollywood apartment at Fountain and La Brea with my Mamiya 645 with available light.

I shot this image of Kumi circa 2000 in Las Vegas outside of some small fetish convention close to the airport. This wasn’t a planned shoot; it was just her and I going outside during her cigarette break and taking some shots. Photographed with natural light with my Mamiya 645.
