Whenever I shoot black & white film, I always fall in love with the tones, contrasts and the aesthetic of it. Nothing beats it, in my humble opinion. Recent self-portrait on Polaroid I-type bnw film.

Apparently P*ypal now asks for customer opinions on accounts sending invoices.
If you are paying an invoice to a nsfw artist, do NOT mention NSFW in any way, keep it blank even. you risk both your account and the artists.

This book is out today. It was a pleasure and an honor to help a little bit in the process of creating it. REFLECTIONS tells the story of Roger Deakins' life and storied career in his words—with a lot of behind-the-scenes details and, of course, many pictures.
Reflections - Roger A. Deakins
In REFLECTIONS: On Cinematography, Deakins offers his fans and film enthusiasts the improbable journey of the “boy from Torquay, England” to Hollywood.

Okay, I’m getting the message that I should put adult labels on EVERY. SINGLE. PHOTO I post.

This 2012 photo was taken in an uninteresting hotel room in Desert Hot Springs. Faced with an utterly plain environment, I had to get creative. The single hanging lamp was the only source of visual interest (and light), so I took the opportunity to truly test the Nikon D200’s high ISO performance.

A 1997 image of Marne Lucas taken in Chicago. There's a 35mm color version of this shot that appeared in my first book "The Beauty of Fetish" but this is a medium format black and white version of the same setup. Makeup by Mark Katz. Photographed with the Mamiya 645. @marnelucasstudio.bsky.social

A rarely seen photograph of Midori shot during our multi-day shoot of Gemini Klein’s historic shoe & boot collection in 1997. We shot most everything in Yogi Klein’s Chicago apartment including his kitchen as seen here. Shot with available light with my Mamiya 645.

Hi. I wrote an essay about AI slop: How it feels like an invasive species for the internet. How its boosters describe building a future that’s devoid of craft. How frictionlessness can be nihilistic & how this stuff seems to leach part of our shared humanity out of the world. I hope you'll read it.
