Did you know that Plok, star of the cult classic 1994 Super Nintendo game, has his own comic?

Everyone at breakfast in The Traitors is talking dead loud, but as if nobody can hear them. It’s really weird.

There should also be a blue plaque up on the wall on Well Street.
Happy tenth anniversary to photographer Joel Goodman’s classic image which by rights should be hanging in the Louvre.

Calling all 6502/NES programmers!

We recently preserved and shared a source code snapshot of the lost Police Academy game! Which is great, except it's in a pretty bad state.

I'm hoping there's enough to "revert" back to its trade show demo. Any interest in helping?

And it is with that sentiment in mind that I bring you Sir, You Are Being Hunted, beloved and seminal stealth and survival game from Big Robot, a gift of 40% off.

The author of this post must be someone I know. I will be judging you all for the whole of the next year. While also admiring you.
Last Christmas I told my family that I'd been commissioned to write an article on Infocom and I needed to play through all their games. I did play them all and even wrote a blog post about it. But this year I have no excuse and need to pay attention to my family. Very scary.

A gentle reminder if you've received an invoice from a Freelancer/Self employed person which is due before Christmas.

Be a love, and pay it today.

Christmas is getting off to a cracking start today. A day off because work closes up for the Christmas break early, off into Manchester for drinks and food with both my daughters, then we’re watching It’s A Wonderful Life in the posh seats of the Everyman. And all that’s before Mad Friday kicks off!

So glad this has been recovered and getting seen. It was kind of legendary in parts of the UK gamedev community at the time. We all knew about it and commiserated that it wasn’t getting released.
Our first big Christmas update is with an amazing recovery of the final build of Resident Evil on Gameboy Color. Hotgen's impressive conversion that got canned. This is much closer to completion, and seems completable too. Lots to discover!

And still time to order a copy of the Freaky Dancing Collection as a Christmas gift for the aging raver / fanzine culture nerd in your life.
You can also buy the collected edition of the cult acid-house fanzine Freaky Dancing - The unofficial fanzine of Manchester's Haçienda club in 1989-1990 - which I co-created.
