What happens when you put an overplanner in a situation she never could have seen coming? She's home alone with her dogs, sirens are wailing, the tornado is coming, and there's a stranger already occupying her storm shelter. Check it out in SEEK SHELTER NOW.

I'm so glad I get to have two days off after today. I am so behind on everything.

I don't have any dragons. Tbh, I don't really find them that interesting to read or write about.

Day 9
While dinos weren't super common, I did have a good time talking about them ☺️🦕🦖 Now, what's today? *check notes* We're at Dragons now? Ohhh this'll be a BUSY day! 😅🐲🐉

I know I'm supposed to be on a mental health break, but I have a really hard time not being connected to people on here.

Can't even find decent videos on YouTube of struggle meals from the past any more, on account of slop.

-DVD players were a luxury item after they first came out.
-Your PC would say 'it is now safe to unplug or turn off your PC' after shutting down.
-You could spend all day at a media store (MediaPlay, FYE, etc.) looking at things and still not see everything they had to offer.
Without revealing your actual age, what's something you remember that if you told a younger person they wouldn't understand?

Life just keeps hitting. Not looking for sympathy or anything, just venting, but this last week has been some bullshit.

-dryer outlet melted (fixed)
-tornado yesterday (everything's fine)
-fridge just shit the bed (new one being delivered tomorrow, at least)

All within the last 7 days.
January 9, 2026 at 1:50 PM
Anyway, now I'm going back to my little breaky break so I don't have another menty b this week.
January 9, 2026 at 2:19 AM
J's okay, too, btw. Still waiting to hear from my brother. Gonna check for damage in a little bit now that the dogs are calm again.
Just got back inside from the tornado shelter. The tornado itself seemed to have skipped us. I'm fine, dogs are fine, parents are fine. Haven't heard from my brother, and J's without power at work about to be in the center of shit.

I know I'm on a break right now, but felt I should update y'all.

On that note, I'd really appreciate it if you checked out my tornado horror story. It's free. I have any file type you need, just let me know if you don't see your preferred shop available.

I don't have any, but my favorite dinosaur is a triceratops.
Day 8
Pivoting to something really different today - dinosaurs! I feel like they still aren't in enough stories, but I'm always happy to see when they do 😌 So focusing on the 'terrible' (but actually amazing) lizards of the land!

There's so much bad shit going on right now, and so much conflicting information about all of it, and intentional mis- and disinformation that I don't know what to believe or plan for (besides the Worst) any more. I'm just lamenting; I know this post is pointless but I have to get some of it out.
January 7, 2026 at 2:20 PM
I really wanted to watch a movie this morning, but I keep getting anxiety spikes. So instead, I'm going to work on a post for Ko-Fi and stay off of here for a while.

I don't have any werewolves yet :( I know I really should, being a horror writer and all, but I just haven't gotten to them.

Hugh Jackman's expression in Van Helsing when he realizes his error, that really sad puppy face... gods, that gets me every time I watch it.
Day 7
Alright, time for shifty puppies! Werewolves!🐺 Big enough to have their own category, so why not have a day to focus on these beings?

Though I'll admit to loving my slow cooker, it's honestly never been that exciting in my life.

Ok I'm going to suggest a goal for everyone to try to accomplish right away: back up all of your files on an external hard drive or thumb drive. NOT the cloud! I mean on something you own not connected to the internet that some other company or person has control over.
