People in the replies are missing the point that he's referring to THE SNOW!

I suspect none of those who are getting so irate by this little joke have not walked through the streets of NYC lately. They *are* disgusting right about now.

Prosecuting lawmakers for their speech is a clear assault on the most basic of American freedoms. Fortunately the grand jury stopped this in its tracks, but it should never have gotten this far.
Breaking news: A federal grand jury refused the Justice Department’s attempts to indict six Democratic lawmakers over their comments to military service members — the latest rebuke of the Trump administration’s push to prosecute the president’s foes.

I've said this before but I truly believe we could revitalize YA and kidlit overnight by switching to MMPB and paperback first. Kids want paperbacks! It is by far the biggest request I get from teen readers.

Oh! I know this one!

As the saying goes “Art should comfort the disturbed and disturb the comfortable.” But what disturbs Conservatives is people different from them and what comforts them is being told they are right. Good art can never say "These people are just better; everyone else is wrong."

They had both been invited to the island at the same time by Mr. Roarke and Tattoo. You see coincidences like that only on television!
They just happened to be eating in the same private island restaurant…

They built a mosque and a Muslim school near where I lived in Houston. The lady at the liquor store was not required to wear a hijab and I could still buy pork ribs from the barbecue place down the block. Guys like Brandon Gill are the reason Texas is a punchline for so much of the country.

A libertarian city on the moon for elite perverts? Wait, wait, wait! I've played Bioshock. I know how this ends.
Reality: Mars sucks. No one can live there.

Also reality: the Moon sucks. We can’t live there either.

More reality: Earth is the only place we can thrive.

It’s not culture: it’s clickbait.
It’s crazy how much of pundit culture is just “I have to engage with society in all its different forms, even in ways that I don’t like.”

Gee--this is the evening that I wait mischievously until 4th quarter to phone friends whom I haven't contacted in years and ask: "It's been so long since we talked! Are you busy right now?"
Jess and I are spending Super Bowl Sunday at a fine dining restaurant before scooting off to finally see SEND HELP. We LOVE getting restaurants and theaters to ourselves.

But I hope the game is rad, the commercials mostly hilarious, and that every one of you watching has the best evening.

OMG -- it's like abandoning our cars to trudge the NY State Thruway on foot to attend Woodstock. The counterculture still lives!
Every time there's talk about traffic at the Super Bowl in Santa Clara my reaction is: maybe you all should have thought of that before choosing to build a sports arena in a place with no public transit and the worst traffic in the Bay Area?

This shit is cooked through. 150 years of being a newspaper and now you're a 4chan comment thread.

Like vinyl, I believe that the mmpb will rise again.
still so cool to me, that I got to sneak in at the very-very end of the mass market era. this edition's the last Columbian mammoth, trumpeting out in the storm, telling the world it's still there, and that, when that world comes for it, it'll be standing there waiting.
@sgj.bsky.social re-stock! They didnt even make it onto the shelf before we sold one of each.

We were also just informed by our rep at Simon & Schuster that the mass market paperback of The Only Good Indians is out of print now, so grab one while you can.
