this is another crime of the sequel trilogy, because the prequels were bad movies built on the bones of an interesting story and the sequels were such incoherent garbage they made people pretend they were actually good

Dragon Quest 1-2 HD is extremely good, but even the new orchestral arrangements can't salvage what is still some of the dullest, most insubstantial music of any long-standing video-game franchise. It's like listening to paint dry.
