Apparently the culture here is to make a long post introducing your interests and that is not my style. You will get 3-6 months of long form rants about one video game interspersed with occasional random bitching. Strap in.
You know you’re almost thirty when it takes three point five business days to recover from Disneyland

And then they fell in love (romcom coming next July)
A 34-year-old as a politician: My god he's like a baby. It's like they just elected an infant to be their mayor.

A 34-year-old as an athlete: You have to admire the bravery of him attempting that dunk, knowing full well the grim reaper is right behind him.

Orson Welles? The guy from the Fallout 4 radio mod The Mercury Theater On the Air?
I think everybody has a “Wallace Shawn from Young Sheldon” — my first one would probably be “Vincent Price, the guy who did the voice of Ratigan in The Great Mouse Detective”

deep in OW2 and on the one hand I find Obsidian's lowkey contempt that people might want to romance their characters kind of eyerolling but on the other hand god is it refreshing to have a cast of companions that doesn't feel like six perfectly focus-tested sex fantasies in a trenchcoat

Remarkable, to me, how people on this website will admit to disliking Dishonored (2012) and then expect their immediate arguments downstream of that to be taken seriously

I’m a deep blue city livin’ coastal elite and my march had the highest amount of Bible quotes per capita I’ve seen in my fucking life
Chip Roy: "The truth is the marxist, radicals, and Islamists the Democratic Party promoted this weekend, they cannot handle the truth. The truth is that there is a king and that king is Jesus. And the president has been willing to say it, & Charlie Kirk was willing to say it & he got killed for it."

Did a Mormon write this
Tariffs have rapidly increased the price of coffee—a drink with almost no nutritional value and lots of functional substitutes. Yet coffee may also be the one thing Americans can’t live without, @elcush.bsky.social writes:
The Drink That Americans Won’t Give Up Without a Fight
Coffee has almost no nutritional value and lots of substitutes. It’s also, apparently, too important to lose.

they are clearly trying to terrify everyone out of showing up to the No Kings protest and I simply do not think it is going to work

see you all there
Sen. Roger Marshall: "October 18 is when the protest gets here. This will be a Soros paid-for protest for his professional protesters. The agitators show up. We'll have to get the National Guard out. Hopefully it will be peaceful. I doubt it."

I know it’s not the point of all this but “bayou-bred pushover” sounds like a hell of a popover dessert
really can’t say enough about how mike johnson is a sniveling little coward of a man. a bayou-bred pushover with a dignity deficit that would embarrass renfield
Q: Do you agree that the mayor of Chicago and governor of Illinois should be in prison?

MIKE JOHNSON: Should they be in prison? I'm not the attorney general. I'm not following the day to day on that

I really wish that people who want to make a Final Destination would just make a Final Destination instead of making an "elevated" slasher story and saying it's Actually About Trauma

I know that we all rightly laugh at these chucklefucks but this genuinely made me stop, take a beat, and realize that at some point in the last five years we’ve normalized this. There’s just a portion of the population making block lists of media that don’t encourage women’s oppression

What I love about the way Hundred Line does branching paths is that after you make any choice, the protagonist will always justify that choice to himself afterwards, and you have no say in the reasoning he presents. You just nudged him into doing something he was already considering, either way

And yet the banality of evil rolls on (the guy on the right invented Fig Newtons)
One of these rich dudes invested in a food company with all proceeds going to kids in need. The other started Sundance Institute, boosting the lives of countless artists. Hey modern rich dudes, don't be a typical greedy AI crypto-prick, be like these two.
