College students who can’t handle their strictest instructors need to grow up, which is part of what they’re there for. TPUSA and OU are ironically doing the triggered snowflake participation trophy shtick and harming everyone’s ability to grow up in the process

Remembering when my entire seventh grade Hebrew school class went to see Titanic for some reason?? And when Kate Winslet dropped her robe Ari Asher let out a loud strangled gasp in the silent theater and everyone laughed because, yes, that’s correct. Anyway he’s a famous horror auteur now

99% of the world is dead. In a small Minnesota town, 1 woman writes the monthly local paper but it’s actually an epic horror story mailed to your door.

When power went out across all of Puerto Rico on 16 April, a lot of the lights in the town of Adjuntas stayed on. A combination of experimental microgrids, solar panels, and storage kept power on for many businesses and residents.

"The settlement ... does not involve financial penalties."
NEW: The Department of Justice and Texas software-maker RealPage announced this week that they have reached a settlement in a case involving price-fixing allegations in some of the nation’s largest rental markets.
DOJ and RealPage Agree to Settle Rental Price-Fixing Case
The settlement is the latest development following a 2022 ProPublica investigation that showed RealPage was helping landlords set rents in a way that legal experts said could result in cartel-like beh...

The numbers in here are hilarious.

Do you use AI on the job?
Execs: 87%
Managers: 57%
Workers: 27%

Planned investment by 2030: $5T
"Necessary" annual revenue to justify that spend: $650B
Current annual revenue: $50B
Three years into the generative-AI wave, demand for the technology seems surprisingly flimsy
Investors expect AI use to soar. That’s not happening
Recent surveys point to flatlining business adoption

Any sign that actual consequences still exist will REALLY freak out a not-insignificant percentage of the current DC elite
And to anyone who’d claim someone worse will replace him: even if that happens, Hegseth would still be outed. Which would inspire more pushback against Trump’s incumbents and lead to more calls for ousting them

The trans woman illegally deported is now back in the U.S., but remains in ICE custody currently. Expedited briefing on her release is set for the coming weeks.

I figure a kebab shop somewhere used to feed him.

The claws come out. I legit have to fight to keep it for myself.
