This is one hell of a timeline
“Exercise commanders had to ask Finnish reservists, the most formidable Arctic warriors, who were playing the role of invaders in the war games, to go easy on the Americans,” the source said. “The Finns had to be told to stop beating the Americans as it was embarrassing and demoralising for them.”

In October, ICE grabbed Maher Tarabishi.

He was a 24/7 caregiver for his disabled son Wael.

At the time of Maher’s detention, disability advocates warned that taking away Wael’s caregiver put his life at risk.

Wael died on Friday at age 30.

ICE caused his death.

They didn’t get to say goodbye.
Disabled son of ICE detainee dies after 30 days of hospitalization
It had been months since Wael Tarabishi seen his father. The family is calling on ICE to release Maher Tarabishi so he may attend his son's funeral.

I don't think in my lifetime there has ever been a U.S. federal agency as universally and deservedly hated (in this country, anyway) as ICE.

It was a striking show of solidarity with MN clergy resisting ICE, but heralded something else: the emergence of a vast, faith-based network trained to resist ICE. religionnews.com/2026/01/23/i...

(RNS)— Hundreds of clergy from around the country gathered in Minneapolis to learn from Minnesota faith leaders how to protest against ICE enforcement. Then they took to the streets and helped block t...

How does he respond? His agents lie to courts *more*. His agents violate orders *more*. His rhetoric ramps *up*. What people don’t get about Trump is that he’s only looking for weakness; as a predator, he’ll to slit your throat *however* you deal with him unless you fight or exit the scene entirely.

There’s only one way to leave an abusive relationship: utterly and finally.

That doesn’t make it easy—on the contrary, it’s among the hardest things anyone can ever do.

It’s just as hard for a nation or group of nations.

It’s time for Europe to abandon America. Cut us off until we save ourselves.

No, it really won’t. He has numerous massive failures, but none as dangerous as the total failure to make holding the organizers of January 6th accountable a high priority for his administration. It should have been the single highest priority; instead it was an afterthought.

We should also talk more about how too many Republicans do not see entire swaths of people as actual people. You don’t casually muse about starting a war if you see troops as humans with lives and families. Normal people don’t fantasize about those from other countries dying for their own amusement.
Rep. Greg Steube: "You see Macron and the French sending troops to Greenland. I would love to see the US military up against French troops in Greenland, because it would not last very long. It would be a very small skirmish ... we don't care about what Macron and the French want."

Going to war with our NATO allies probably isn’t going to happen, but seeing smarmy fucks like this fantasizing about how easy and cool it would be to spill the blood of our NATO allies helps strain the bonds of our international relationships in ways that can’t be mended for generations.

In a prelude to invasion, the Russia-backed Trump regime in the USA is sponsoring Alberta secessionism.

The Americans follow the exact same war plan Russians had when they invaded Ukraine in 2014. At that time, the Russians created fake Donetsk and Luhansk "People's Republics."
Bessent pushes Albertan independence from Canada: "Albertans are very independent people. There's a rumor they may have a referendum on whether they want to stay in Canada or not. People are talking. People want sovereignty. They want what the US has got."
