Home Secretary Shabana Mahmood is to announce Saturday that “the era of permanent protection for refugees” is over in the UK.

She’s also going to say the UK’s borders are “out of control”.

Apart from sounding like a trailer for a Reform government, it’s already causing anger within Labour.
UK set to limit refugees to temporary stays
Shabana Mahmood is expected to say the era of permanent protection for refugees is over, in major changes to the UK's asylum and immigration system.

Attacking a federal district judge as an “activist” for issuing a lawful ruling is an assault on judicial independence. A democracy cannot function when executive agencies denigrate judges for doing their jobs.
