The Supreme Court of Canada no longer posts in X. Same for the Royal Society of Canada, the Canadian Medical Association, and so many other national organizations. It would be great to see the federal, provincial, and territorial governments do the same.

@moviessilently.bsky.social I saw the 1962 film The Fabulous Baron Munchausen on Kanopy the other day. The live action, colours and animation reminded me of b&w movies.

Have you seen it?

Haha, the rest of the post says they wanted to double check results, but were told to stop slowing innovation.

Sorry, if you bring on software and aren’t auditing it at the start and then occasionally afterwards, you deserve everything that happens.

Not a biz, I would trust.

🥇 Pinheiro Braathen just won Brazil’s first ever medal at the Winter Olympics, and it’s a GOLD in the giant slalom.

It’s actually the first medal of any kind at the Winter Olympics for any country in all of South America.

cool brief history of alchemy:
there is a widespread belief among people with even a little technical and scientific savvy that Alchemy was a bunch of hooey, that they never published their experiments, that alchemists had to each discover on their own not to drink mercury, etc

but this is urban legend!

I like that everyone completely missed the whole meaning of the song pretty in pink.
I don’t know if this movie is appropriate for Valentine’s Day considering in that it is the story of a guy in love with a girl who kisses another guy in the parking lot after the prom.

Now if Canada would do the same. (But they won’t)
The EU has just voted, by a VERY wide margin, for the full recognition of trans women as women…!

Looks like someone used a label maker on the skull.
ST VALENTINE is the holy guardian of lovers but not many people know that after death his skull became a decorated floral relic, one of the most gothic items to be found in a Roman reliquary. Shown here in the Basilica di Santa Maria in Cosmedin #ValentinesDay

I knew that once they got rid of vaccines, they were going after germ theory.

It is against my rights as an individual to force me to wash my hands before handling food.
RFK Jr: I'm not scared of a germ. I used to snort cocaine off of toilet seats.

A detective show never seen on TV.

A detective, who's life is in perfect order, discovers that the serial killer everyone believes is stalking the clean streets of Belfast, is in fact a bunch of different murderers. Can they prove it in time to stop the waste of resources being spent on a mistake

The Olympics need to work with Interpol to set up a cybercrime division. Any threats made to athletes must be treated as real and everything must be done, where possible, to prosecute.

I know it’s hard, but enough stories of charges/lawsuits will possibly stop the low level assholes.
Amber Glenn won Olympic gold on Sunday. That same day, she left social media because of death threats. Her offense: she'd told reporters the queer community is going through "a hard time." The headline called it "backlash." www.readtpa.com/p/the-thresh...
