After the 18 day 4th precinct occupation when Jamar Clark was killed, I got really sick and didn’t bounce back for months, even years. It absolutely contributed to my slide into complete disablement by chronic illness.

If you have the capacity to make wikipedia edits every so often, after 500 edits and 6 months they give you access to a bunch of databases including jstor. To maintain access it’s 10 edits/month, but you can also skip months and get access back instantly after editing again. My partner does this!

I was 8 and my brother had this album, and I became obsessed. A few years later I acquired my aunts piano and the first thing I did was figure out by ear how to play the main riff before I was able to get any lessons. So really this song was my introduction to doing music🥹
