also, there are plenty of text to speech tools that just record and don't analyze and they've existed for nearly my entire life. we've got to stop allowing people to conflate direct, non-generative tools with genAI when they have a financial incentive to do so

I wish that going to a website's helpdesk/knowledge base/blog didn't make it impossible for me to get back to the main website.

Perhaps I'm the only one, but I feel like clicking on the logo should bring me back to the homepage.

I am once again saying that we saw what wall to wall, panic coverage of a crisis looked like after the Biden debate and there’s no reason Trump isn’t getting that kind of coverage except for class solidarity.
So the oldest person ever to become president keeps falling asleep in his office during public events and there’s no big public discussion on how this is a coverup or how republicans are lying to us about how this government is running?

In addition to actively impeding me from doing the thing I’m doing, summary is an action that requires intelligence and intent. I don’t read everything the same way or for the same reasons, so an automated summary cannot address my concerns even if I don’t need to read every word of a document.

Bad AI supplanting human expertise is an issue that transcends any one field, but man—not many people on earth whose knowledge and dedication deserves respect like LIBRARIANS.
The long-running ideological war on libraries, education, and government workers is not separate from AI boosterism. It is the same ideological war on human knowledge and expertise. In some cases AI is being used to directly supercharge this effort:

Good question: No, Jewish atheists are not apostates.

A basic reason is that atheism is considered a state of mind, whereas worshiping another god is an action. In Hebrew, the word "avodah" means both "worship" and "work" - it's a thing you do, not just an opinion you have.
What about Jewish atheists?

Now, some of the above technical details may be up for debate.

The part that's definitely not up for debate is: Messianic Judaism is not Judaism. It's Christianity. *Every* Jewish denomination agrees on this. And they can't even agree on whether God exists!
