I don't think I ever declared it with my whole chest on this particular account, so let me be clear: I am for open borders, full stop. I believe that if you put your feet on American soil and declare that you wish to be an American citizen, that that should be enough to grant you citizenship.
The more people claim that I'm transphobic based on a random label someone put on my account with no supporting information or accountability, the more I think a) leftists are just reactionaries with some slightly different buzzwords and b) they were right all along:

Laugh rule is sacred
Kash Patel—a guy who’s definitely seen National Treasure too many times—when he spots a giant portrait of James Comey at the Hoover Building:

“Alright team, let’s see what’s hiding behind this big boy.”
LMAO okayyy. So yes, in the IC you toss papers that can't be put in trash in burn bags. But "secret rooms"? And they...what...forgot to BURN the bags for 9 YEARS? No digital copies?

These ppl make up the stupidest fucking theories. They've seen too many bad movies.

This explains like 90% of Hitchens's personality to be honest
another claim "There is a story circulating in Washington that Hitchens once reminded the man who became president of these heady days - but that Clinton failed to recognise his old acquaintance. Hitchens, it is said, never forgave him."

Men being angry about the existence of the Tea app are proving to every single woman that they are whiny, oversensitive, and above all dangerous shitheads. The leak and the way men have behaved subsequently will not teach women to stop shittalking you; it will teach women not to DATE you.

Can't wait for the people who said Democrats need to tie Epstein to the Republican leadership to now reverse course and demand that Schumer do... something else, who the fuck knows what, because this is suddenly bad now
Schumer is calling the congressional recess Republicans' "Epstein recess."

"The ghost of the disgraced Jeffrey Epstein is haunting our Republican colleagues so much so that Speaker Johnson decided to cut bait and send the House home to escape discussions about Epstein instead of doing their jobs."

Weird, every time I see a shitty piece by Cilizza I think "why is he still talking???"

I'm so glad these men have been released but Jesus Christ, what a horrific ordeal for all of them. I hope they can all parlay this into staying in the US however long they please (though I wouldn't blame them for flipping us the bird). These men deserve every penny in Trump's pocket.

All the kids except Charlie in "Charlie and the Chocolate Factory" are monsters whose deaths you're supposed to cheer, and they're really just kids whose parents never told them "no."
I’ve known some grounded ultra rich people and it’s a mixture of strong family ties and having genuine friendships - both of which involve people saying no to you.
EXACTLY. There's a direct throughline between "being rich makes you insane" and "using chatGPT for any length of time makes you insane." If you don't ever hear no it quite literally fucks with your head

It's not the point (the larger part of which I agree with) but as ever, I challenge anyone who uses the term "fanfic" or "fan fiction" to post their AO3 handle
I spent some time reading Elon’s tweets this morning (one of my least favorite activities) and it’s hard to overstate how much he and his allies have constructed an alternate reality for their audience to believe in. In their world, Elon is a superhero fighting government fraud, like fanfiction

Love how the same people yelling about why Dems don't bother to even try to pass anything in Congress are in the mentions here saying "what's the point of this? It's useless, it'll never pass!"
Seeking to "ensure that no President or administration is above the law" - a group of Congressional Democrats will introduce legislation today to order a watchdog office to monitor White House staff and the Exec. Office of the President

Just filed to CBS News ====>

Congressional Democrats push for new watchdog to oversee Trump's White House
Democratic lawmakers say some of the administration's core staff should be overseen by an independent watchdog.

99% of the antipathy toward the Democratic party is because we're the party of women, Black people, and Jews. The loathing people on the right and so-called left stems almost entirely from this and it's a problem they're going to have to solve one of these days.

I really like this dude and man I am so, so worried about the backlash he's going to face when he gets in office and the people on both sides who think he's going to get Magical Mayor Powers to solve everything/ruin everything realize that he is, in fact, Just A Dude
Shooting our videos is a little bit different now.

The thing that strikes me about this that (so far) I haven't seen anyone discuss: GenZ are constantly bellowing that old politicians should retire or be forced out, but this "micro-retirement" ensures that they themselves will HAVE to work in their old age. It's not even hypocrisy so much as...dumb.

Mr. Jeffries is going through the Republican districts alphabetically and still in the letter "C" as he approaches the end of the first hour of the speech

Leader Jeffries' speech is going through districts represented by vulnerable Republicans one by one reading letters from their constituents the relate personal stories about Medicaid and other programs that will be cut by the bill. He's going through them methodically and naming the members
Getting towards the end of debate, hitting the heart of the batting order on the Democratic side: @beyer.house.gov, Whip Clark, and now Leader Jeffries is up.

But hey, according to Klippenstien this guy not only shouldn't be a Senator but shouldn't be *allowed* to be a Senator, because he's 76 years old and anyone over the age of 59 basically has one foot in the grave.
2) A provision that would have done away with gender-affirming care under Medicaid.

These are some good wins in an otherwise terrible bill. My staff and I will be fighting to remove the worst provisions from this bill up until the very end. I'll continue to update you as we get more rulings.

Can't wait to hear how the NYP counts as the Dem establishment
NY Post editorial board: "Could Mayor Eric Adams turn out to be the comeback kid ...? Adams, who met with The Post’s editorial board Wednesday, thinks so. And he’s far from delusional about that."

OOF, found out today that I'm on a transphobia labeler today and that's honestly pretty crushing. Can't really do anything about the label but I can only apologize for anything I've ever said that has been transphobic. I'll try to be a better ally.

Once again, social media shows that there is nothing so dangerous as a man who's being contradicted by a woman.

The Bove allegations should be treated as something akin to Watergate, or Iran Contra. The administration was attempting to do something they *knew* was illegal (anticipating the courts saying as much), and then trying to COVER IT UP. Only here instead of it being run out of the WH or NSC, it’s DOJ

Dudes are never more furious at women than when they don't believe something the dude lied about. It's incredible.

I get the frustration - I live in NYC and seeing some prominent dems endorse fucking CUOMO has been horrifying - but my dude several democrats just got shot, one of them murdered along with her husband (and dog) for the work they've done, so maybe reconsider the idea that Dems are just cowards

honestly does seem like the basic dynamic in american politics right now is that a critical number of voters treat Democrats like their (nagging) mom or their (bitch) wife and treat Republicans like the “cool” dad or husband who is at best a deadbeat
