I find the whole idea that "endorsement=bending the knee" to be such a weird idea that leftists have. Historically endorsements are made as a *favor* to people who need them—which Mamdani notably did not, and in fact he was successful in part because he was seen as not being an "establishment dem"

I figured that this was triangulation on Schumer's part - a way to look like the reasonable one while the GOP rejects it out of hand. Seems like it worked.

What's the age at which point the party should kick people out? What level of feistiness should people not be allowed to fall below? How smart do you want people to be in order to qualify for your party? What messages will you deem unacceptable and kick people out for using?
