Had a really terrible ½ of a week outside of movies & unfortunately I didn't get to dwell on them which is also really upsetting, took a small edible & I'm rewatching stuff in theaters rn & try to cheer myself up.
Halfway through doing a double feature of some very fun & funny movies :)

Do you miss director commentaries on DVDs? Me too—and that's why I love the official podcasts dedicated to the making of his shows.
The official "Breaking Bad", "Better Call Saul" and "Pluribus" podcasts are absolutely wonderful and are worth listening to if you're into that kinda thing.

The official "Breaking Bad", "Better Call Saul" and "Pluribus" podcasts are absolutely wonderful and are worth listening to if you're into that kinda thing.

Just went to see The Bone Temple. Really insane plot lol. I really liked it & it's pretty great, though yeah the first's score and cinematography are unmatched.
Main problem is that Spike's presence tends to feel like an afterthought, it's honestly distracting. Makes some stuff a bit less impactful

Today I went to see The Chronology of Water on a whim, not knowing much beyond it having an unusual framework based around memory (which was excellently done). Bit shocked it's about some stuff that's very specifically close to home for me but I'm grateful, the depiction is very evocative & faithful

I'm beyond excited for The Bone Temple and can't wait to see DaCosta's style for it, it's awesome that they're going to be so different. I'd just be very surprised if it's visually more effective than the previous entry, the cinematography and editing here are unbelievable. Crazy that this got made

I was so so happy to finally see No Other Choice again, took my mom and she really liked it! It's a very fun film and for sure a crowdpleaser, I hope more people get to see it in theaters. It was nice to hear a crowd laughing at a lot of comedic bits.

I work 100% digital and for some time now I have been doing drawing and color at the same time. From the sketch (left) to the final page (right). I give color the same value and importance in the design of the page as the line. #absolutemartianmanhunter
