This isn’t leadership. This is blackmail.

The Department of Justice has now told Minnesota officials that they will remove ICE if they hand over their voter rolls - this is not how the law works.

The hard truth: the only real safeguards the US government has against what we're going through right now is electing and appointing men and women who take their oath to uphold the Constitution seriously. A government built on the honor system crumbles when dishonorable people are in charge.

They literally wrote their plans down for anyone to read.

Those who paid attention know this was coming.
· Permissions to ICE agents to remove immigrants anywhere without a warrant

· “Rely on good judgement to avoid inappropriate situations” (not, you know, having rules)

· Fund ICE for increased detention space: daily beds 100,000

· Remerge USCIS, ICE and CBP and remove from DHS

And if it’s not propaganda, I’m sorry, anyone saying it should be excluded from the authority of running an ice cream shop in the future. Talk about confirmation bias.

Progress stalling out isn’t the same as selling out to Fascists, as I saw firsthand in regards to people‘s reactions to the 2024 election. It would be cool if people’s criticisms would refrain from making stuff up.

The only way anyone could possibly think it would work is if they actually believe the whole Communist “after them, us” spiel which didn’t work for the last round of Communists either. But it does kinda give the impression the people responsible approve Fascists. Stupid all around.

What gets me is if Fascism is defeated trying to bury history with the take that makes you look the best will be completely moot. People will be going over the paperwork and video with a fine tooth comb. It’s happened before. People won’t think you’re a brave rebel, but a cowardly liar. It’s stupid.

I see now we’re doing “oh it wasn’t the Leftists laundering Fascists into the mainstream, it was those evil Liberals” again

Putting a bid in for ahistoricizing history early, I see

Please share. We need mail and email to @fetterman.senate.gov asking him to retract this ridiculous statement and stand tall against this lawlessness in the funding vote. For the sake of Renee Good and Alex Pretti do not write off his vote!

This, as awful as it seems, is the absolute truth.
It is a horrible thing but one of the *points* of non-violence is that state violence in response causes outrage to spread.

Good night. And if I don't get into bed before 11, these two occupy the whole bed, per example. They won't even open both eyes when I ask how I'm supposed to fit.

Starting tomorrow, Minnesota should stop serving anyone from out of state. You just show ID with proof of residence in order to receive any service, food, or hotel room. The state should subsidize radically affected businesses like hotels. Excepted professions, press, medical, etc.

Be safe. I also saw reports they are taking people from the Costco parking lot, 7-11 parking lots and even pulling up to bus stops and taking people. Sickens me that these monsters and thugs are terrorizing my neighborhood

True.

You can scream until you are literally blue in the face. Shutting the government down won't defund ICE. And why are people acting like they don't remember that ICE was funded in July through 2029 and not a single House Dem voted yes?

I think a lot of us get hope wrong. Hope, I do not believe, is an emotion. In fact, hope makes space for lots of emotions to exist alongside it. You can DO hope scared, angry, sad etc...

Hope doesn't find us. We make hope through action and struggle. It's a practice of living and is re-made daily.

I'm curious, has anyone tried recording ICE using smart glasses so they don't notice you? In theory, it should be a good solution, but I have no personal experience with the glasses. (And yes, there are hacks that will turn off the glass' light so they're less apt to know you're recording them)

I think a lot about confederates burying Robert Gould Shaw in a mass grave with soldiers as insult and his father responding it was an honor to know his son has been buried that way on days like this.
And it's well documented. Being a "race traitor" is not well loved among the confederates.
Showing cross-racial solidarity is a potential death sentence. There are few things white supremacists hate more.
