Nick Fuentes called Alex Pretti a “race traitor” for opposing ICE.

I argue that sentiment is actually widespread on the MAGA right.

My latest for @liberalcurrents.com

After Alex Pretti’s Murder, it’s Clear That MAGA Media Views White Liberals as Race Traitors
MAGA is committed to the belief that the people ICE is pursuing are inherently bad and that therefore opposing ICE is standing with criminals and rapists against the American people.

History was made at Canterbury Cathedral this afternoon when - following her Confirmation of Election at St Paul’s as the first female Archbishop of Canterbury – Sarah Mullally’s name was added to the plaque that lists every previous holder of the office, all the way back to St Augustine in 597.

This is a list of the archbishops of Canterbury. ❤️
Adding the first woman’s name to a list that starts at 597 AD. Does that matter? Yeah, it does.

This delightfully lemony Canterbury pudding recipe is wonderful served in early spring. It is a somewhat rib-sticking pudding so a little goes a long way!

You can find the recipe at piespuddingsandpottages.com/recipe-post/...

Because Fitzcarraldo Press usually publishes work in translation, for such a small publisher they have picked up a very large number of nobel literature winners. The Polish author Olga Tokarczuk being one of them. And this is their stunning signed ltd ed of The Books of Jacob.

This must go so hard if you are stupid and just tried to explain Eastern Europe to a Czech.

Iconic
Scrolling through the photos of Pam Bondi's "Minnesota rioters," it's just hero after hero. Every photo includes a cowardly DHS agent with their back to the camera.

Bondi thinks she's going to win the propaganda war with this shit, but it's never been more clear that they're losing.

In Newfoundland (like Ireland, I've just learned, no surprise there) the back or side door is the one everyone uses, esp family and friends. In fact, a lot of outport houses have a front door with no stair leading up, just a door suspended above the ground. They are called 'mother in law doors'.

Hrmmm.
Oh, I totally understand. I was once a cute child, and I had the unfortunate task making the rounds and passing out “mourning biscuits” (caraway biscuits/shortbreads) to mourners at a funeral wake. Same deal, sans the microblogging. Irate family and relatives wanting their mic and spotlight too.

No-one in rural Scotland uses the front door except for funerals. It has a purely symbolic or decorative function.

In Ireland, one of the few things that houses in the countryside have in common with Georgian Dublin is that the front door is only for strangers, a back or side door is the real entrance to the home.
