i feel sorry for everyone going all why is there no manga/anime with no trans chars when there exists accessible mediums like visual novels where that actually happens cause we can tell our own stories entirely independently without relying on billion dollar studios to fund and censor the projects

Adding to #wishlistwednesday tag to say in addition to wishlist, maybe even more important than wishlisting and following is leaving a review.
RE that RT.. it’s wild how steam reviews are still so damn important to getting visibility. If you play and like indie games, the most generous and helpful thing you can do is spend an hour popping positive reviews onto anything you like with <500 or so reviews.

Good tip for Steamers
Well, that's gross. If you're looking at demos on Steam and don't want to support Gen AI use, be sure to check the main game page before downloading. They're usually separate entries, but easy to find. I just saw a demo that doesn't disclose Gen AI use, but the main game page does.

honestly a lot of games i love are WAY under this. you can browse your library by # of reviews using this incredible filtering tool. please look and leave even brief positive reviews for the games you like, especially if they're under 10 reviews or close to that magic 500 threshold

Sometimes I think it'd be a good idea for CEOs to be scored, Metacritic-style, based on how others evaluate how they run a company. I like to imagine it would encourage more restraint. Their incompetence does real damage. You shouldn't have to suffer executives just because you want to be a gamedev.

For historical context, this newly translated game is considered to be the first visual novel. The developer, Leaf, would later develop the ToHeart series.
