One of the fascinating things about reading Lenin is that so many types of guy/gal that exist today, including the "I'm a free thinker!" chuds, existed already well over a century ago
The case…provides an illuminating example of how people who regard themselves as enlightened politicians, and even as free thinkers or radicals, drift with the tide, helpless and without convictions, flabby and powerless.

I think often about the fierce, almost reflexive solidarity that I observe whenever I work with folks who are poor, marginalized, or homeless. The principle of "nobody gets left behind" is second nature. Why don't we make that the guiding incentive of our society?
