A lot of yall think that we can just vote our way back to pre Nov 2016, and we are so far gone beyond that point...

As of this morning, it is imperative that the Democratic caucus in the senate remove Schumer as Minority Leader, Durbin as minority whip and Cortez Masto as Vice Chair of Outreach.

Replace them today with Van Hollen, Murphy and Merkley. Or anyone else who actually knows how to lead and discipline.

None of the Dem Senators (or Democratic-caucusing) who voted yes on the CR are worried about reelection:

• Dick Durbin – IL – Retiring 2026

• Catherine Cortez Masto – NV – Up 2028

• Jacky Rosen – NV – Up 2030

• John Fetterman – PA – Up 2028

• Maggie Hassan – NH – Up 2028

Expel the yes votes from the party and cut off all their access to fundraising, then remove Schumer from leadership. Anything less is mealy-mouthed coward bullshit.
As this vote moves to the House, I stand with Democratic leadership as they refuse to rubber stamp the full-scale Republican assault on Americans’ health care and I am proud of the majority of Senate Democrats who opposed this vote.

Pay attention to what Democratic candidates are saying right now. Find and support the fighters. Having a spine must be a litmus test issue in 2026 and beyond.

John Fetterman’s memoir comes out on Tuesday, so if the phone calls don’t work you can always tell him how you feel while he’s on book tour.

My family has been without half our income for 40 days. It has been.. very hard.

We are willing to feel that pain so people can have health care next year, or to undo these illegal recissions.

We are not willing to have been put through this for NOTHING.

Hey just a reminder that it only takes 23 Senate Democrats to remove and replace Chuck Schumer as minority leader. They don't do it because the majority of Senate Democrats approve of the way he does politics.

Sanders: That is a totally meaningless gesture. You can get 100 votes here and it won't mean anything because the House is not going to take it up.

It’s worth thinking today of all the elections you *aren’t* hearing about because they were unopposed. In so many sheriff and prosecutor offices in particular, including in blue-ish or even solidly blue areas, “tough-on-crime” folks often reign for many years without ever being challenged.

Voters of color understood the assignment. And make no mistake, after 2024, Black voters said they were “resting”, not sleeping!

If you are feeling good and maybe even some hope right now and if you ever wondered why billionaires bankrolled a marginally rebranded global fascist movement - that feeling, that sense you might actually have some real power in your own fate, that's why they did that.

This. Also Wellstone would be proud as hell
People didn't learn from US Senator Paul Wellstone ( Democratic Socialist before the word was popular) who spent $385,000 to defeat 20 ( Yes 20) times the money... If you are running for a federal office in 2028... you need to be running NOW.. Time is MONEY
