I really hate it when scientists keep saying that “we need to rebuild trust in science,” because it implies that scientists are to blame for the mistrust rather than the millions of dollars of dark money that have funded political attacks on science in order to advance a far right agenda.

This is tremendously short-sighted - if you don't hire junior people, where are your experienced, senior people going to come from in 10 years' time?

The first Welsh school was established in Cardiff in September 1949. It was located in the buildings of Ninian Park School on Sloper Road in the Grangetown area of the city. 18 pupils attended on the first day, but a significant increase in numbers was seen during its first years.

I'm sure there are good reasons to do with light pollution that this is the case now, but there must be some middle ground between bright light beaming into the sky and pitch black residential streets.
Almost got into a situation on the road there because this FULLY LIT road is PITCH BLACK because of when the WHOLE UK switched about ten years ago to street lights that DONT LIGHT ANYTHING BUT THE 5cm OF EMPTY AIR AROUND THE BULB
